About Me
The chef who figured it out in her own kitchen
A little about me, my journey, and why I created The Cucina Reset™
Where it all began
I've been in love with food for as long as I can remember.
I trained as a chef at George Brown College in Toronto and built my career around the thing I love most — creating beautiful food for people, teaching cooking classes, hosting dinner parties, and sharing Italian and French-inspired recipes on my blog, Sabrina's Cucina.
Food, for me, has always been joy. It's connection. It's the way I show love.
So when I found myself struggling with my weight, my energy, and my relationship with my body, the last thing I wanted was to be told to stop eating the things I loved. I didn't want to count every calorie obsessively. I didn't want to cut out carbs or give up cheese or stop pouring a glass of wine at dinner on weekends.
I wanted to feel good — and I wanted to do it on my own terms.
What changed
I decided to approach my wellness the same way I approach food — with curiosity, intention, and a willingness to experiment.
I started small. I added protein to every meal. I started walking after dinner. I planned my week on Sundays. I drank more water. I slept more. I stopped trying to be perfect and started trying to be consistent.
And slowly, everything shifted.
I lost weight. My energy came back. I started feeling like myself again — and I never once felt deprived. Because I was still eating pasta. Still cooking beautiful food. Still enjoying every bite.
The difference was intention. And it changed everything.
For the women who love food too
I created The Cucina Reset™ for the women who feel the way I used to feel — tired, frustrated, and overwhelmed by the idea of yet another diet that doesn't fit their real life.
If you love food. If you cook. If you entertain. If the idea of giving up the things that bring you joy feels impossible — this was made for you.
The Cucina Reset™ is not a diet. It's not a program with rules you have to follow perfectly. It's my personal method, shared honestly, with everything I wish someone had told me when I was just getting started.
It's a guide. A toolkit. A reset. And it's yours.
From one real person to another
I want to be completely transparent with you: I am a chef, not a nutritionist, dietitian, or medical professional.
Everything I share in The Cucina Reset™ and on this website is based on my own personal experience. It worked for me — and my hope is that something in here resonates with you too. But your body is unique, your health history is your own, and I always encourage you to speak with your doctor or a registered healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet or lifestyle.
This is one chef sharing her story. I hope it helps.
"The best diet is the one that feels like living, not like sacrifice."
